About Olivia

Olivia Hamm is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who completed her Master of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. She completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, double majoring in Psychology and Women’s Studies. She enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds, and specializes in reactions to severe stress and trauma.

Olivia has served clients in a multitude of different settings, including schools, hospitals and clinics, homes, and in diverse office-based practices. Her current work includes promoting child and family wellness, healing, and posttraumatic growth.

You will find her approach to be compassionate, strengths-based, and relationship-focused, using mostly CBT and narrative therapy as a foundation. She uses her training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to inform her practice, and believes everyone should have a safe and healing place to work through life’s difficulties.

As a supervisor, she is dedicated to promoting a supportive and reflective environment for therapists. Her supervision philosophy focuses on a developmental approach, adapting feedback to your current skill level while encouraging professional autonomy.

With over 8 years of experience in trauma-informed care and CBT, she helps supervisees navigate multifaceted case conceptualization, ethical dilemmas, and prevention of burnout. Her goal is to help you find your individual therapeutic voice, while providing a safe foundation for clinical growth. She specializes in the supervision of clinicians working with posttraumatic populations and high-conflict family systems.

Her supervision sessions are designed around a systemic lens, combining evidence-based practices with a meaningful focus on cultural humility. She is dedicated to preparing the next generation of therapists for skillful and fulfilling work.
