Monarch House is a free, voluntary program through Wisconsin Milkweed Alliance (WIMA) located in Menomonie. Monarch House offers 24/7 peer support in a home-like setting to people experiencing mental health, substance use, or other difficult life challenges. Individuals stays are for up to 7 nights max.

Kaleidoscope Center (WIMA) | 715-231-3055
The Kaleidoscope Center is a free, drop-in center in Menomonie that offers connection through peer support. Whether you need to use the drop in center resources to cope with a current stressor in your life, or to maintain emotional wellness, peer supporters will be there to offer community and support.
Mobile Outreach Peer Support (WIMA) | 715-619-8628
The Mobile Outreach Peer Support (MOPS) program meets people where they are – at home, in the community, or wherever support is needed. Peer supporters bring lived experience with mental health and substance use challenges, offering a unique king of understanding that builds trust and connection. This program currently operates in Dunn County and outreach spaces are available in Boyceville and Elk Mound. All services are free of charge.

NAMI’s mission is to provide support, education, and advocacy to people living with mental illness and their families. NAMI Chippewa Valley serves Eau Claire, Dunn, and Chippewa counties. All programs are free and led by trained facilitators. Offerings include NAMI Family Support Group, NAMI Hearts and Minds, NAMI Peer-to-Peer, and NAMI Basics. Specialty support groups are available to browse on the NAMI website.
Gaining Ground (LSS) | 306 S Barstow St. Suite #100, Eau Claire
Gaining Ground (formerly Positive Avenues) is a daytime resource center open to those experiencing mental health concerns or homelessness. The mission is to provide members with trauma- informed, recovery-oriented services to assist participants in developing social skills and becoming active members of the community. Services include hot meals, respite from outside elements, case management, crisis stabilization, advocacy, referrals, recreational activities, and emotional support. All services are free of charge.

Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) is a voluntary psychosocial rehabilitation program designed for individuals coping with a mental health and/or substance use conditions. CCS is person-centered and provides an individual approach in which participants can work with their team to decide which programs and supports will help them reach their recovery goals.

The Community Support Program provides individualized treatment to eligible adults with a significant mental illness. CSP is recovery oriented and a community-based program. Services are provided by a multidisciplinary team and include a case manager, a therapist, and psychiatric care.

The Children’s Long-Term Support (CLTS) Program helps children with disabilities and their families through support and services that help children grow and live their best lives. The CLTS Program aims to keep kids at home instead of at an institution.

Under our Recovery and Justice Services unit, Eau Claire County operates three different programs, Treatment Court, Family Recovery Court, and Deflection. The Criminal Justice and Collaboration Division offers programs such as the Criminal Just Collaborating Council (CJCC), Family Treatment Court Program (FTC), Dunn County Treatment Opportunity Program (TOP), Dunn County Treatment Court, Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), Pretrial Services, COMPAS-R and other assessment services, Substance Use Counseling and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) in jail, Jail Therapeutic Community (TC), and Project Hope and Behavioral Health Officers.

Recovery Court is a 15-to-24-month specialized court process divided into five phases, specifically designed to assist individuals with substance use disorders who face certain charges. Recovery Court emphasizes treatment, accountability, and recovery – aiming to lower repeat offenses and promote long-term sobriety.

Provides mental health counseling, psychiatrist services, mental health medication management, and referrals. Services are provided to Dunn County residents aged 18 and older. Mayo Inpatient Services | Eau Claire 715-838-3274
The Inpatient Psychiatry and Psychology unit is designed to help you benefit from evaluation and short-term treatment in a hospital setting. Our treatment team includes board-certified psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, social workers, activity therapists, certified nursing assistants and chaplaincy. We include other team members, as appropriate, for your treatment needs, such as respiratory therapists, physical therapists, psychologists and addiction therapists. We also are able to consult with other physician specialists within our healthcare system.

Transitions, a partial hospitalization program in Eau Claire, offers an alternative to hospitalization for adults whose psychiatric illness is impairing their ability to function successfully in their lives, while traditional outpatient therapy services are not sufficient to meet their needs.
The program runs weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Individual patient needs and response to treatment determines length of stay. Participants will receive instructional lecture, DBT skills training and application, group and individual therapy, family meetings, safety planning and medication management.
